Décrire une photo ou un tableau : le cours
Situer : in the foreground (au premier plan), in the background (à l’arrière-plan), on the left / on the right (à gauche / à droite), in the bottom right-hand corner (dans le coin en bas à droite). Observer : I can see… (je vois…), She is wearing… (elle porte…). Faire une supposition : must be (c’est sûrement), may be (c’est peut-être), can’t be (ce n’est pas possible).
Exemple
In the foreground, a woman is wearing a long coat. The man next to her must be her brother. (Au premier plan, une femme porte un long manteau. L’homme à côté d’elle est sûrement son frère.)
À retenir
must be = presque sûr ; may be = possible ; can’t be = impossible.
